Bridge Fire Exhibiting Extreme Behavior, Burns 49k Acres In LA, San Bernardino County


On September 11, 2024, the Bridge Fire began exhibiting extreme behavior as it spread north and northeast, towards the communities of Wrightwood and Pinon Hills in California. The fire has currently burned over 49,000 acres and is 0% contained. Evacuation orders are in place for many residents of Los Angeles and San Bernardino County. A list of zones experiencing these evacuation orders can be found here.


According to NBC, over 30 homes have already been lost to the destruction, as well as other structures. Many structures are currently threatened by the inferno as emergency responders struggle to keep the blaze at bay. There are currently no reported injuries or deaths. Anybody residing in the area should take the necessary steps to keep themselves safe.
